I can't remember how many years I have worked with Southern California Keeshond Rescue but it has been  a long time and is very rewarding.  I live in  Maryland and started working with the rescue here.  I review new adopters applications and call them, their veterinarian and any references they have.  I get to help make sure the right family gets the right dog.
